It shall be the policy of the Village Board of Trustees to put a water restriction into place to preserve the availability of drinking water to all municipal residents. The water restrictions will begin May 1st of each year and end October 1st of each year. Residents may water during that period on an even-odd system: if their house number is even, they water on even days. Likewise, if their house number is an odd number, they water on odd numbered days. There will be no watering of any kind on Fridays, which will allow the maintenance department to perform routine maintenance at the water treatment plant.

Residents who do not comply with this policy are liable for fines of up to $500 per every twenty-four (24) hours of failure to comply, as set forth in City Code 3-901.
